Human vehicular traffic is one of the main impacts at the location Aeschenplatz in Basel. Located above a tower house adjacent to the open space, the station measures all kinds of variables. One of the main topics of interest for deploying a station is the aim to measure CO₂ concentrations and fluxes at another urban location. This gas allow tracing of human activity, be it traffic or heating from nearby apparements.
